The proposed 421 Forward project – located on US 421 between Greenfield/Templin Road up to County Road 300 South – is intended to address driver and pedestrian mobility needs in your community. Various roadway improvements including pavement rehabilitation, added auxiliary lanes, intersection improvements, pedestrian facilities and storm drainage enhancements are anticipated.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Drivers and pedestrians experience mobility issues within this corridor due to the various residential subdivisions entrances and the current traffic volume, which is anticipated to increase in the future.
NEED & BENEFIT
421 Forward is in the early stages with design continuing through 2026. The 421 Forward team is conducting detailed analyses of accident data, traffic counts, and environmental elements for roadway improvements along US 421. We are coordinating with Boone County and Zionsville on the recommendations.
